Hi, my name is Samuel.
I'm looking for a new life, a better life. I am a recovering addict with 15 years of sobriety. I am looking to create a support network of drug-free people to socialize with and build new relationships with to continue on my pathway to recovery.
I am currently waiting for final approval on my conditional release plan. I will be releasing to a transitional living apartment in Chester, VA, just outside Richmond, VA. I was born and raised in SW Virginia in a small town called Pulaski, VA. I grew up on Claytor Lake and am an avid swimmer, water skier, and fisherman. I love water. I am also a mountaineer, hunter, and ex-trapper. I love the woodlands as well.
I am an excellent wildlife cook, and I can also prepare traditional dishes. I am also not afraid of dishwashing, laundry, or housework, ha ha! I have been married for 36 years and have 2 boys, 30 and 33, and two grandchildren as well. My wife and I have been apart for 15 years, and I haven't had a visit in 10 years - not sure where that relationship is going to go when I get released.
I love music, blues, southern rock, and heavy metal. I am also taking guitar lessons. I love to go to rock concerts and outlaw country as well. I have tried my best to rehabilitate myself while in prison so I can be a productive member of society. I finished my education by completing my GED. I have taken the following courses: NRDAP drug treatment, Anger management, and the Wellness Recovery Action Plan for re-entry and relapse prevention.
I do have an extensive criminal history, but I corrected most of the faults of my character, and I am a different person today. I hope you will give me a chance to be your friend, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
